Lantern Tunnel
 

The Lantern Tunnel of 2008 Taipei Lantern Festival is located on the roads around Taipei City Hall Square and the middle of the Ren-ai Road . This year's exhibition scale and creativity is best than ever. The Tunnel not only connects each lantern exhibition area, but also brings rejoiceful feeling from the old poem denoting ¡§Keep walking, you'll find a new hope and pleasure ahead of you.

 Wish Tunnel

Starting from everyone's heart, let's make a new wish for the New Year. The four-colored, four- leaved ¡V clover represents relationship in pink, career in blue, schoolwork in yellow, and health in green. The clover is placed in the ribbon-decorated box. In front of the clover is a marble game platform that reminds people the fun game of childhood experience. Now, let's make a wish for the New Year.

 

 City of Flying

Just like Taipei's international image, The lantern presents the convenient traffic, world-famous Taipei 101, and the splendid Ferris Wheel. MRT Train as the main theme to represent the prosperous Taipei and international image. The sparkling lights and firework are telling the beautiful nightlife of Taipei City.

The lanterns of homes are telling the citizens to care about the nature because only through preserving the nature, people can live a better life. Peeking from the birdhouse, you will find the mystery and beauty of nature. Walking through the shining penguins and giraffes, you will feel the vigor and the vitality of homeland.

In addition to the diversified city development, the leisure quality is also important for citizens. The Maokong Gondola brings citizens the convenient and comfortable leisure, and people could experience the beautiful scenery of Taipei through the ride. With variety technology and information, Taipei was crowned the ¡§2006 global city of intelligence¡¨. The lanterns are based on the concept of WiFi city, add technology elements, and design with Op Art, presenting Taipei as an e-city.


 Night tour of the blue way

Dressed with lights, the Ren-ai Road forms a beautiful ¡§blue way¡¨(river) in Taipei . On the blue way people could appreciate the coastal bird watching and river fish on the cruise. The lanterns of blue way bring the Dan-sui River scenery and culture to Ren-ai Road . At night, the blue way is taking you to experience romantic Dan-sui River.
